Acclaimed for their most recent marine inspired installations, the creative force behind Scabetti is the English design duo Dominic and Frances Bromley. Since Dominic’s launch of his first sculptural work shown at 100%Design London in the year 2000, followers of the collection have seen a natural eye for detail and form married with high quality English made materials. Scabetti are known for their work with fine bone china, making a feature of its white translucent body. A motif of Scabetti's work is multiples; much of their work relies on the strong visual power of repeated multiple forms and the magical effect of suspended objects. They design, sculpt and then craft using traditional hand casting methods in local Stoke-on-Trent Potteries in the heart of England. Private, commercial and government commissions offer Dominic and Frances the opportunity to create unique statement pieces across the globe, with installations created using the language of architects and interior designers alike. Such work has seen Scabetti turn their hands to other materials including steel and glass in the realisation of some complex and innovative designs in an array of contexts..
