Our Home – the NK Arts Partnership
The NK Arts Partnership brings together five organisations that are committed to celebrating and delivering excellent craft, design, visual and performing arts. The Partnership works together to create great arts experiences with a dynamic programme of art and cultural events and activities, supported by our core funders Arts Council England and North Kesteven District Council, and delivered through 1Life. Our four sister organisations in the Partnership are:
Design Factory promotes artistic integrity, raises the standard of craft and design and commercially supports and develops the very best designer/makers in craft practice today. Their renowned membership is synonymous with high quality, creativity, innovation and fresh design talent. Design Factory offers several levels of membership that are tailored to emerging, mid-career and established makers.
The National Centre for Craft and Design
The National Centre for Craft & Design is the largest venue in England entirely dedicated to the exhibition, celebration and promotion of national and international craft and design. With five gallery spaces showcasing up to 20 exhibitions each year, a craft workshop, café and shop, NCCD is the district’s leading visitor attraction. The building, a converted Victorian seed store, is home to all of the partnership except Terry O’Toole Theatre (see below).
artsNK is a unique team of visual and performing arts specialists which initiates, develops and supports arts projects across the North Kesteven District, Lincolnshire and the East Midlands. artsNK provides high quality, enjoyable arts experiences for people as audiences and participants, working to increase community engagement and develop skills.
The Terry O’Toole Theatre
The Terry O’Toole Theatre is a multi-functional performing arts venue in North Hykeham, which presents a vibrant, high quality programme of professional drama, music, dance and children’s theatre, complemented by a wide range of community performances. As well as performances, it boasts a lively Take Part programme, including artsNK Youth Dance Programme, Djembe drum workshops and ACTion Community Theatre.
